Come Home

As for me, I said, “O Lord, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against you!” Psalm 41:4

I am the runaway, the one who knew better than my parents, the one who went to church and forsake all I heard, the one who looked for something to believe in through earthly pleasures, the one who wonders if I can return home.

The Living Word says: So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22

I am the one who knows the way to righteousness and condemns those who don’t, the one who knows everything and judges everyone, the one above the rest, the one above the law, the one above all Holy teaching, the one who will buy my way to Heaven or work my way through my actions but not my heart.

The Living Word Says: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. John 1:8; “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven” Luke 6:37

I am the one who believes the social media, the one who wants to try it all, the one who listens to false teachings, the one who watches sinful behavior, the one who questions the body I am in, the one who believes the words of evil, the one who thinks I know more than God, the one who feels sadness because no one accepts me, the one who wants to know the way.

The Living Word Says: For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths 2 Timothy 4: 3-4; And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 2 Peter 2: 2-3; And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name Acts 22:16

I am the one at the end of my years, the one who lived a life of regret, the one in the hospital bed surrounded by machines, the one who will not make it, the one whose days were engulfed in despicable sins, the one crying for You now, the one who wonders if it is too late.

The Living Word Says: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9; For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23; Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

You are the one God is calling, the one who wonders if your sins are too great, the one who regrets the path taken, the one who feels the hurt you caused your family, the one who now understands that God is the God of all and Jesus, His Son, is the Healer and Forgiver; to you God says: Come home.

The Living Word Says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
